Banana Bread Recipe

With Honey Bee Meals, customers across the GTA enjoy healthy prepared meals and snacks delivered twice a week right to their doors. In addition to enjoying freshly prepared meals, indulging in an occasional sweet treat can be a part of maintaining a balanced diet. 

Just about everyone has a family recipe for banana bread but our recipe really takes the slice, just wait ‘til you try it! If you have the inkling to spend some time in the kitchen or just forgot to add something sweet to your Honey Bee Meals order, definitely give this recipe a try. 

This one-bowl recipe is of course gluten, dairy, soy and nut free - just like everything on our menu. We hope it becomes a family favourite of yours!

Enjoy a slice after any of our Classic, Low Carb or Plant-Based meals for a perfect end to a healthy and nutritious meal. This banana bread freezes beautifully so you can enjoy a slice anytime you have a craving.

Banana Bread



  1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
  2. In a bowl, add the bananas and mash until smooth. Add in the melted coconut oil and stir until well combined.
  3. Add the coconut sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda and flour. Mix until the batter is smooth (you can use an immersion blender).
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into a greased, parchment paper lined loaf pan.Top with additional chocolate chips.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely before serving or freezing for later. Enjoy!
